Why Don’t People Get Screened for Cancer?

Posted on Jun 11, 2012 by Cindy

We need help from the people of Ontario to answer this question.  We, a team of researchers from the University of Toronto, York University, and Cancer Care Ontario, are using a short, 5 minute on-line survey to find out more about the cancer screening practices and beliefs of all Ontarians.

People can be checked for the possibility of having certain cancers. This is called cancer screening. This survey asks about a few ways of cancer screening. We want to hear from people who should be getting screened for the possibility of having breast cancer, cervical cancer, or bowel cancer.

We’d like you to complete this survey if you are:

  • male aged 50+ AND never had bowel cancer OR
  • female aged 50+ OR
  • female younger than 50 years AND never had cervical cancer

Go to survey.

This study, based at the University of Toronto, is funded by Cancer Care Ontario.
